What strategies are required in planning, marketing, and maintaining a business on the Internet?

Good answers to your questions are beyond the scope of a posting but an online business’ management should not be planned any differently than a brick and mortar business. Planning starts with a detailed business plan. You at least need to establish your company’s mission. What is your product exactly? You should be able to state your business purpose in one sentence. Who are your customers? When and how do they typically buy your product? How often will they need to purchase your product? Is it regularly like soap or not so often like a car? These are a few of the questions that need to be answered. These answers will help you develop your marketing plan, how will you market, how much will you spend on marketing etc. It won’t be advertised until Monday but Jaxin Morgan jaxinmorgan.com will be offering a free online workshop titled “Getting your business off the Starting Block”. On June 14th. It’s free and it may offer a little more insight.
Kudos to CozyOnell! That's a very good response! I'd like to add, too, that it's so important to KNOW for a certainty what your marketing budget is. Far too many businesses fail because they fail to come up with a simple marketing plan. It's rather perplexing, because there's a misconception that you can make money simply by "being in business." But running a business without a marketing plan is as silly as thinking your car will run smoothly simply by filling it with gas each week.
I suggest you contact your local/state economic office for more info on planning, marketing, etc.
As a side note, if you need a freelance writer for any of your writing needs (press releases, editing of your marketing plan, etc.), I'd be happy to extend my services to you at minimum cost. Feel free to contact me at jfreelancewriter@yahoo.com.
And remember: Nothing beats a failure but a try. I wish you well.
It is really depending on what Internet business you are talking, You have to do everything the same as traditional one. There different is that presentation is conducted on Internet, not store front.
