Do it yourself. I agree with above. Not worth 30 points and you cant award 30 points, ur just saying that to get your answers.
For reference, here is the end result: Silver is best plan from 0 to 387 K-bytes Gold is best plan from 388 to 1625 K-bytes Platinum is best plan from 1625 K-bytes and higher I found this using microsoft excel. It's easy using this program. In column A, label it as "x", and put values for x from 1 through 1650. In column B, label is at "Silver", and enter $20 for x values of 1 through 200. For 201 and higher, enter C = 20 + 0.16*(x-200), but in Excel cells: B2=20+0.16*(A2-200), B3=20+0.16*(C3-200) etc. After you do the same for Gold and Platinum, you can graph all three easily. Comparing column B, C (Gold), and D (Platinum) you can see which is the lowest. a) Silver: C = 20 for x=1 through 200 C = 20 + 0.16(x-200) for x>201 Gold: C = 50 for x=1 through 1000 C = 50 + 0.08(x-1000) for x>1001 Platinum: C = 100 for x=1 through 3000 C = 100 + 0.04(x-3000) for x>3001 b) Graph in MS Excel as I explained above. c) Best plans (note than gold and platinum cost the same ata 1625 K-bytes) Silver is best plan from 0 to 387 K-bytes Gold is best plan from 388 to 1625 K-bytes Platinum is best plan from 1625 K-bytes and higher d) Just walk through the steps you took, and what it means to do it!
a) Silver Plan: C(x) = 20 if x<=200 C(x) = 20 + 0.16(x-200) = -12 + 0.16x Gold Plan: C(x) = 50 if x<=1000 C(x) = 50 + 0.08(x-1000) = -30 + 0.08x Platin Plan: C(x) = 100 if x<=3000 C(x) = 100 + 0.04(x-3000) = -20 + 0.04x b) Silver Plan: draw a line parallel to x-axes (distance 20 units) for 0<=x<=200 and continue with a line with slope 0.16 Similar for the other plans. c) -12 + 0.16x=50 <=> x=62/0.16=387.5 Silver is better than Gold for less than 387.5 KB -30+0,08x=100 <=> x = 130/0.08=1625 Gold is better than Platin for less than 1625 KB d) The Silver Plan is best offer for less than 387.5 Minimum charge is 20$ and maximum is 50$ Although Silver Plan charges the same amount as Gold Plan for 387.5 KB, Gold Plan is in that case the better offer. It allows you to exeed 387.5 KB up to 1000KB free of charge compared with silver plan. The Gold Plan is best offer for 387.5KB up to less than 1625 KB Minimum charge is 50$ and maximum is 100$ Platin Plan has lowest charge for 1625 KB and more.
