A few weeks ago a Bellsouth rep. called and tried to talk me into buying a different plan. She said it was faster and better etc. etc. I said no my service was fine and my internet speed was great...well now I find that my internet speed has slowed and sometimes I have to exit out of internet explorer to get to the page I want...is this a marketing ploy or is it all in my head...what do ya think???

I have Bellsouth as well and I sometimes have trouble with my connection dropping. I have good speed and the speed actually went up. I would suggest getting in touch with their customer service and ask them to do a line check. Also ask them to clean the line. You can also do some checking around your house as well. Make sure that you have the DSL filter on all the phones in the house including cordless. That may get you some results. I doubt it is a marketing ploy but it sure seems that way doesn't it. i have bellsouth 6.0, when it rains you can't even get online, they say when the wires get wet that's what happens! But, it's all i can afford so i hafta put up with it.
